Inside the project
Client brief
Wishbook is a secure digital platform that lets people plan for their passing with peace of mind: centralising their wishes (funeral, will), passing on administrative documents and leaving digital messages or memories to their loved ones.
The platform is built around four pillars: a digital vault (passwords, administrative documents, insurance and notarial deeds gathered in one secure place), recording funeral wishes, an emotional legacy (scheduled delivery of posthumous messages - letters, photos, videos) and handover to a trusted third party who accesses the space when the time comes.
Given the extremely sensitive nature of the data - financial, legal and deeply personal - the client needed a technical partner able to audit the existing platform, raise its security level, take over its maintenance and keep evolving it over the long term.
Our approach
We began with a full audit of the existing platform - architecture, code, dependencies and security surface - to identify risks and prioritise the remediation work.
On that basis we hardened the application and took over its maintenance end to end, with particular care given to the end-to-end encryption of the vaults: data stays unreadable to anyone but its owner, and access for the "guardian" relatives only opens when the time comes, under strict conditions.
We now support the client on the platform's continuous evolution: making the key journeys reliable (creating the space, reviewing documents, guided drafting of last wishes), corrective and evolutive maintenance, and building the new features on the roadmap.
The project today
Wishbook is live and lets anyone centralise and secure their estate - financial, material, intangible and emotional - in a private, encrypted and legally recognised space.
We continue to host, manage and evolve the platform alongside the client over the long term, on a subject as demanding as it is sensitive.
