Inside the project
Client brief
Scholavie is a non-profit launched in April 2019, dedicated to supporting French primary-school education staff in growing their psycho-social skills, so the joy of learning and teaching stays at the heart of everyone's commitment.
The client wanted to publish the non-profit's pedagogical content on an online learning platform (LMS), with a polished user experience and the ability to group learners into custom "cohorts" with bespoke invitation rules.
Our approach
We started by exploring possible technologies and existing LMS solutions on the market, to validate the feasibility of building bespoke layers around a white-labelled third-party platform. After a software audit and interviews with several vendors, we settled on Didask with the client.
We then built the Scholavie platform, wired to Didask through APIs: the solution hosts the educational content without reinventing the wheel, while giving room for a fully custom learning experience.
Alongside the platform, we supported a full visual refresh of the Wordpress marketing site so Scholavie could administer and maintain it easily, no-code.
The project today
The Scholavie platform and marketing site are used every day by learners enrolled in education programmes.
We host the platform under a managed-services model to guarantee availability and keep shipping new features as part of ongoing evolutive maintenance.
