Inside the project
Client brief
ONaCVG, a public operator under the supervision of the French Ministère des Armées, serves more than 2 million beneficiaries every day - veterans, war victims, victims of terrorist attacks and their families - through a network of departmental services covering every French region.
Several in-house business platforms - inherited from Microsoft Access, Excel and older bespoke web tools - had been supporting case management, beneficiary follow-up and the production of official documents for years. The client wanted to engage in a deep modernisation of that application landscape: raise the security bar, streamline the agents' daily workflow and prepare for future integration with the ministry's other systems.
Our approach
Our engagement has unfolded over several successive missions since 2023, each one rebuilding or merging a different in-house business platform - all of them re-implemented on the same modern technical foundation.
On every mission we apply the same playbook: full functional recovery of the existing applications (no service interruption for the agents), a responsive web user experience, an architecture designed for future evolution, and upstream validation with the ministry's security teams.
Our full-stack engineers work on both the back-end and the front-end, support the agents through the transition away from the legacy tools (Access, Excel, older platforms) and stay on board for corrective and evolutive maintenance throughout.
The project today
The modernised platforms are being rolled out progressively across the ONaCVG network, freeing agents from the constraints of the legacy tools and significantly raising the bar on the security of particularly sensitive personal data.
We remain engaged with the client for the long run, supporting the broader modernisation of the information system and its progressive opening to the rest of the Ministère des Armées' digital landscape.
