Inside the project
Client brief
Founded in 1977, Lapierre Traiteur is a family-run catering house based in Saint-Denis. It offers meal trays, buffets, cocktails, bespoke menus and event services, with seven-day delivery across the Paris region and production handled in its own kitchen facility.
With a business highly dependent on execution quality - order intake, preparation, on-time delivery and customer follow-up - the company needed a business tool able to centralise operations, manage its delivery fleet in real time and equip drivers directly in the field.
Our approach
We first designed and built the platform from a blank page around Lapierre Traiteur's real business workflows: order management, customer follow-up, CRM, delivery organisation and route visualisation. The web foundation was built on Symfony and driven from a web super-admin back-office.
The core of the project was to give the teams an operational control tower: driver geolocation, live fleet tracking, delivery optimisation, order statuses and coordination between the back office, preparation teams and the field.
We also built the mobile app (React Native, iOS & Android) used by drivers to follow every step of their delivery route - daily round, navigation, real-time status updates - in direct connection with the super-admin back-office.
Everything was integrated with the client's Microsoft suite (Active Directory and related services) to unify authentication and access, and the platform then evolved with the business, including adjustments to synchronise order statuses with the ERP and make exchanges between the existing tools and the delivery-management system more reliable.
The project today
The collaboration from 2019 to 2023 illustrates our ability to create a complete business system for an operations-heavy SME, then evolve it iteratively as field usage matures.
Beyond the initial build, the project helped structure a critical part of Lapierre Traiteur's value chain: turning orders and logistics constraints into deliveries that can be managed, tracked and better coordinated.
